Endeleo Foundation

The Endeleo Foundation was founded in 2009. In Swahili, Endeleo means progression and/or development. Our goal is to contribute to the realisation of the Millennium Goals and fight poverty in the progress. Through small projects and working together with larger charities, we can improve the standard of life in the Third World countries.

The request for a project has to be submitted by an organisation based in the Third World country concerned and must state a clear objective. The small scale and the limited time scope of the projects ensure that the results are immediate and easy to qualify. By cooperating with the local organisations, we can be assured that the allocated funds reach their intended destination. In addition, we also choose our partners on their ability to ensure the ongoing independence of the people involved in the project and maintaining the achieved result.

Furthermore, The Endeleo foundation would like to achieve a stronger community sense within the people and organisations involved. We involve the people in a creative way in raising money for the projects as well as present information on our activities during local and national events.

As a small foundation we ensure that the funds are paid directly to the selected projects. There is complete transparancy with regards to the raised funds, the costs involved and how the funds are spent. The directors of the foundation do not receive a salary or fixed expenses. This way we can guarantee that most of the raised funds are spend on the objective of the foundation.

Our foundation is designated by the Inland revenu as ANBI, please see link for information. This means that, the Endeleo foundation is recognised as a registered charity and donations are deductable of income tax under Dutch law.
